Elven Sted
The DOF closed a $225,000 pre-development loan to Movin’ Out, a statewide nonprofit creating community-integrated housing solutions for people with disabilities and their families.
Elven Sted (“river place” in Norwegian) which overlooks the Yahara River two blocks from downtown Stoughton, Wisconsin is an inclusive community: the one, two, and three bedroom apartments (33 units in total) are examples of the best in affordable workforce and family rental housing. Common areas and entrances of all units are barrier-free. Several apartments are adapted to meet accessibility needs of household members with disabilities.
Movin’ Out leveraged its loan from The DOF with permanent financing from Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, The National Equity Fund, BMO Harris Bank, Dane County, The City of Stoughton and the State of Wisconsin.
