Financial & Transitional Planning Services for Families of Children with Disabilities
Parents of children with disabilities are often confused and troubled about how to plan for their children’s future. We’ve developed a curriculum that brings information, clarity and hope to families. Delivering this curriculum with groups of parents in an informal setting, we help parents learn to navigate government systems and benefits, do effective financial planning, and understand current legislative activity at the Federal, State and local levels that affects their family.
We find that families’ need for information is insatiable. We help parents find the resources they need to move ahead and act on behalf of their child, regardless of age. Sometimes, housing is an immediate goal and we work to help families join together to identify or create housing options.
