Accessible Taxi Loan Assistance Service
4,871 accessible taxis are in service today and will continue to grow until the fleet is 50% accessible.
Accessible taxis can cost up to $99,000 once the vehicle is converted and hacked-up for service.
This is nearly twice the amount of a non-accessible vehicle, depending on the model.

DOF partners with Toyota
Disability Opportunity Fund is partnering with Toyota directly to secure Accessible Sienna Taxis at Toyota’s designated Hillside dealership.
$30,000 Taxi Improvement Fund Grant will be applied to the purchase of a vehicle and redirected to the Disability Opportunity Fund.
Disability Opportunity Fund will review and approve low-interest loans for 100 qualified small business medallion owners.
Medallion owners will be screened by the TLC to confirm program eligibility, and the Disability Opportunity Fund will make the loan determination.
