GCHP is a nonprofit real estate development company that is based in New Orleans and works throughout the Gulf South region. Its mission is to revitalize the Gulf Coast through transformative development. GCHP was established in 2006 after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated communities throughout the region. The organization develops affordable and supportive housing, and, on a more limited basis, commercial space.
In 2017, we provided Gulf Coast Housing Partnership with a $1,000,000 loan that was used to fund a part of a $30,000,000 project-based loan facility. This facility allowed investment partners the flexibility to designate proceeds to support one of more of Gulf Coast Housing Partnership’s program areas. The new $2,000,000 loan with Gulf Coast Housing Partnership will allow the organization to fund real estate development activities throughout its Community Loan Fund.
