Isaac Wells

Isaac is the Chief Financial Officer of Dyrdek Machine – a venture studio based in Los Angeles. He is also the Managing Director CableLine Capital, a boutique family office operations and advisory company which serves as the senior finance, operations and investment advisor to several prominent familily offices and their portfolio companies. He has direct responsibility for financial operations, investment allocation and relationship management while also overseeing total portfolio strategies and manager selection. Wells also plays an active operating and advisor role at both mature and early stage companies within the portfolios.

 

Isaac also has served as an advocate for the special needs community, having a child with learning disabilities. Isaac is currently on the board of the Special Olympics of Washington where he serves on the finance committee. Prior, Wells served as the Treasurer for the Academy of Precision Learning – a K-12 independent school focused on providing an inclusive learning environment to students with intellectual disabilities. Wells has also served on the investment committee of the Washington State University Endowment – a $1B+ portfolio, for nearly 8 years.

 

Through his professional career, Isaac has developed a diverse and robust profile as an investing partner and operator.  He has an extensive background in the Venture community, both as an investor and as a member of the selection committee for the Alliance of Angels, a leading investment network that has invested over $100m in early stage companies. He acted as the lead facilitator in acquiring the Tacoma Rainiers, the Triple A affiliate to the Seattle Mariners, where he supported the investment group in various operating advisory roles. His work has included serving as a director, lead investor representative, and operating partner to multiple companies across the mobile, tech, hospitality, sports, outdoor retail and hedge fund space.

 

Isaac began his career at Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ: CLWR, acquired by Sprint), where he worked directly for the Chief Commercial Officer providing strategic guidance and analytics across multiple customer-facing business groups.  He also held various roles in the Finance organization and was responsible for strategic finance, debt and equity modeling, board communications and operational scaling during a period of significant fundraising and revenue growth.

 

Isaac graduated from the Carson College of Business at Washington State University with an emphasis on Finance.  During his time at university he served as student body president and currently splits his time between Seattle and LA.
